Dr. Candace Warner Selected as a Silver Winner in Inaugural Anthem Awards in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Category, Leader of the Year

After nearly 2,500 entries across thirty six countries and 10,000 reviews by the International Academy of Digital Arts, people3 Founder and CEO, Dr. Candace Warner was selected as a Silver Winner in the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, Leader of the Year category of the inaugural Anthem Awards. The Anthem Awards, an initiative of the Webby Awards, creates a platform to highlight purpose-driven organizations, brands, and people around the world sparking change across communities.

The Anthem Awards’ mission is to define a new benchmark for impactful work that inspires others to take action to transform their communities.

Dr. Warner is honored to be named among so many catalysts for change, working to amplify the voices of diverse groups and cultivate spaces for inclusion. As a sociologist, educator, and diversity, equity, and inclusion consultant for over 20 years, Warner has built her DEI career around understanding people’s differences and emphasizing the importance of leveraging these differences to create cultures of inclusion. People3 has partnered with over sixty organizations across the world, helping them shape and direct their DEI efforts. From a young age, Dr. Warner found beauty in the diverse and complex nature of people. Today, she continues to illuminate the human intricacies that make us unique and similar in so many ways. Dr. Warner’s recognition as an Anthem Awards winner holds a mirror to her purpose-driven mission for people3 to create workplace cultures dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Warner was joined in the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion category by five finalists including Trevor Noah of the The Daily Show,The Game We Didn’t Know We Were Playing, TedX speaker Sean A. Watkins , George P. Johnson Experience Marketing’s Cody Eastman, Cory Lee, author of Wheelchair Travel Blog, Curb Free with Cory Lee, and Chief Brand Officer of WWE and Co-founder of Connor’s Cure, Stephanie Macmahon.

A portion of program entrant revenue will fund a new grant program supporting emerging individuals and organizations working to advance the causes recognized in the inaugural Anthem Awards.

Winners for the inaugural Anthem Awards were announced on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 and celebrated at the first annual Anthem Voices virtual conference as well as a virtual Awards Show on Monday, February 28, 2022. The full awards show is available on-demand at www.anthemawards.com.
