February 1, 2022
People3 is proud to announce that our Social Media + Marketing Manager, Camillia Clayton, graduated from the Young Leaders Council Spring ’77 Nashville Class.
The Young Leaders Council’s mission is to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion by training promising individuals to effectively participate on the boards of nonprofit organizations. These individuals go on to make a difference in the community by replenishing the volunteer leadership base in Nashville in a way that centers the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Through the Young Leaders Council program, Camillia was able to complete a 9-week intensive training on non-profit board service and leadership.
With the skills and experience gained from this program, Camillia is now on the board of Moves & Groves, serving as the Marketing Chair for the 2022-23 organizational year. Camillia is excited to continue making an impact through impactful organizations that foster inclusive communities.
As a Nashville native and Tennessee State University graduate, Camillia has been involved with community organizations and projects throughout her personal and educational journey. Camillia is currently a Lifetime Member of Girl Scouts USA and has received her Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards in Girl Scouts. At Tennessee State, she joined a community service sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., where service to diverse and marginalized groups is a core value.
Through her new position on the board of Moves & Groves and her continued work as Social Media and Marketing Manager at people3, where she advances our message of diversity, equity, and inclusion, Camillia is excited to continue to make an impact within organizations, her community, and in the lives of young people through the arts.
