CONVERSATIONS inVISIBILITY: REFLECTIONS ON THE AAPI EXPERIENCE IN AMERICA

About This Event

In the backdrop of the global pandemic, the world witnessed events that seemingly happened only in the shadows to members of a community that has historically been erased, scapegoated, marginalized, and attacked. In the past year, there have been more than 3,800 hate incidents against Asian American or Pacific Islanders. Xenophobia continues to impact the AAPI experience in America through the “perpetual foreigner” myth, the weight of model minority assumptions, and the microaggressions that AAPIs face daily that ignore or diminish diversity in language, culture, and experience.

People3 is proud to stand in solidarity with members of the AAPI community. We hear you. We see you.

Join us for Conversations inVISIBILITY: Reflections on the AAPI Experience in America to amplify voices and discuss the impact of the last year on the personal and professional lives of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the U.S.
