Anti-Racism Training
Racism is real. We can do better.
This anti-racism training course unpacks the concept of institutional and systemic racism and helps participants increase their awareness of how these systems play out in everyday life. We also discuss how to be effective allies in challenging racism….through daily interactions, as well as policies and community action.
Some question whether racism still exists in the United States. But often our definition of racism or even what being “racist” means is skewed.
We know through data—economic, health care, housing, voting, criminal justice, education, and a variety of other statistics that institutional racism is still a factor in the lives of many Americans.
Participants in this course will also have the option of engaging in pre- and post-work to learn about the biological myths and social construction of race.
When we’re all not a part of the circle, we can’t move forward.
Testimonial
“Candace’s “Recognizing and Mitigating Unconscious Bias” workshop was excellent. She is very passionate about the many layers of Diversity & Inclusion, and it comes across in her presentations. The content of the workshop was tailor-made to the demographics of the firm. I fully recommend Candace if you want people to understand diversity through their minds and hearts and want real and lasting change in your organization.”
