People3 + ThinkThru Selected as a Bronze Winner of the 2023 Anthem
Award in the Employee Learning & Development Initiative Category

June 1, 2023

In a debut category, people3 and ThinkThru were selected as a Bronze Winner in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Employee Learning & Development Initiative category of the 2023 Anthem Awards. The Anthem Awards, an initiative of the Webby Awards, creates a platform to highlight purpose-driven organizations, brands, and people who are sparking change within communities across the globe.

In this new award category, initiatives or programs created by an organization that seeks to improve company culture, work environment, or overall business strategy by engaging employees through learning or development programs, including courses, training workshops, and other initiatives are honored.

ThinkThru collaborated with people3 to create on-demand workshop materials and courseware that empower organizations to foster inclusivity through diversity training courses. In order to maximize people3’s reach, manage the constant changes of COVID, and continue to support organizations in their DEI mission, this on-demand program was built as a modular approach for self-paced instruction, in addition to virtual live sessions delivered by the people3 team.

The initial objective was to develop a self-paced diversity, equity, and inclusion curriculum that was research-supported and mission-oriented…without being a data dump of stats. People3 also wanted to represent an inclusive culture through the selection of subject matter experts, script writing, and examples presented, providing a holistic and flexible approach to online diversity training.

The 18-month collaboration resulted in a series of video education modules that focused on diversity & inclusion topics, along with valuable course resources and an online community platform. This DIVERSITY & INCLUSION ONLINE COURSE enables people3 to deliver DEI education to clients anywhere in the world, on their schedule, and still combine the on-demand curriculum with virtual live or onsite consulting and training.

“We’ve wanted to develop an online course for years in this space,” said Dr.  Candace Warner, Founder and CEO of people3. “Clients have been requesting this service option, and we had to refer them to external sources. We now have a course modeled after our own capstone DEI 101 and Unconscious  Bias curriculum, using our own expert consultants. Our team spent more than 18 months developing this course with ThinkThru, and we know it will add valueto organizations looking to provide an engaging and cost-effective online diversity and inclusion program to their employees.”

Matt Tidwell, CEO of ThinkThru, agrees. “Organizations are looking to solve complex challenges like this in an increasingly difficult and remote work environment. The vision people3 has brought to solving this challenge– one where individuals participate in on-demand resources, are able to hold important conversations with team members, and engage with people3 experts in a truly integrated way– is one of the most comprehensive solutions I’ve seen in the market.”

Tidwell added, “Working with an organization like people3 that’s driving important shifts in culture, understanding, and collaboration in the workplace to create organizations where everyone can thrive was really a special project for our team. The opportunity to create an on-demand and hybrid solution that people3 could use to increase the impact, efficiency, and consistency of delivering such important work was a challenge that we had to accept.”

People3 and ThinkThru were honored in this inaugural category by multiple finalists including Google, Media.Monks and Essence, among others. Winners for the inaugural Anthem Awards were announced on February 15, 2023, and celebrated at the second annual Anthem Voices virtual conference and awards show.
